It’s usually pretty difficult to come up with gift ideas, but that difficulty melts away when you’re buying for someone who does airsoft. The airsoft product market is huge, and there’s always something that a player has on their would like to have list. That’s true for players who are just starting out, are approaching intermediate level, or are at the top end of the sport.
In this post, we’re going to focus on gift ideas for people who are at mid-level. They’ll be well past the rookie stage, but not yet advanced enough to have a whole garage worth of equipment.

Quality Footwear
Most airsoft players focus on improving their weapons and tactical accessories, not realizing that one of the best upgrades they can make is to their footwear. Airsoft games tend to take place on rocky, muddy, and/or uneven terrain, which can really do a number on a player’s feet. Giving them the gift of quality footwear can make a significant difference to their comfort levels and performance. There are a few well-known footwear brands that can provide a useful starting point, including Salomon Speedcross and XA Pro 3D, though you can always gift them custom-made shoes if you really want to make a big impression.
Headset Upgrade
Standard headsets are fine when you’re first starting out, but once you’re playing regularly at a high level, it’s recommended to upgrade to a better headset. The problem? It can be expensive to do so, and with all the other costs associated with airsoft, many players end up delaying the purchase. For serious players, an MSA Sordin headset upgrade can make a game-changing difference to comfort and performance. They’re used by military and law enforcement personnel, and can help out on the airplay field by amplifying quiet sounds and helping to protect the ears from loud noises.
Action Camera
Airsoft battles can be pretty full-on, and they tend to go by in a blur. Giving the airsoft-fan in your life an action camera, such as a GoPro, will allow them to capture the day’s action. While they’ll likely mostly use the camera just to put together fun videos of their day out on the field, it can also help to improve performance, since it’ll allow them to watch back and see where and how they made mistakes — or simply allow them to bask in the glory of their performance.
World-Class MilSim Events
Finally, one extremely welcome gift that any airsoft fan would love to receive is tickets to one of the major airsoft/MilSim events that take place around the world. There are major events in the USA and in Europe, including the Border War in the Czech Republic, which can involve thousands of participants. If not tickets to an event, then you could always get them a gift experience to play at one of the leading airsoft venues. Camp R&R in Oregon and Ballahack Airsoft Field in Virginia are both firm favorites that every serious airsoft player has on their bucket list.
