Ace Your Career
The career you have is going to play a very big part in your life. For many, it’s going to mean the difference between a happy and fruitful life, a time filled with memories shared with hundreds of men and women.
As we enter our adult lives, most of us start at low paying jobs. The goal is not to stay there. The more time you spend in a job that’s unfulfilling, the more you will realize that your productive years are wasting away. Think of careers that are actually going to challenge you. By the way, what’s challenging to you may not be to your neighbor. It is important to not judge and compare.
Whether you choose to be a pharmacist, a lawyer, a banker, an accountant, a mechanic, a carpenter, a plumber, a financial analyst or opt for medical assistance training, the important thing is to live a prosperous life.
Find Your Happiness
Enjoying your life means finding ways to be happy with the life you’re living. Life is too short to be down all of the time. You need to be enriching your life with people and things that you find interesting, and things that will help you grow as a person. Your career is a huge part of that. From the people you work with, to the pay you’re receiving, it all needs to be working towards your overall happiness.
Some Inspiration Quotes
- Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me. – Carol Burnett
- Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God. – Leo Buscaglia
- Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later. – Og Mandino
- Quality is not an act. It is a habit. – Aristotle
- Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible. – Dalai Lama
- We may encounter many defeats but we must not be defeated. – Maya Angelou
This is so true! I chose engineering as my career, but I did not like my job. I had lots of money, sure, but I would come home drained and discouraged and just plop down in front of the TV until time for bed instead of living my life. Having a miserable job sucks the life out of you and doesn’t leave any left for after work. Now that I’m teaching, I’m so much happier. Even bad days are energizing because I’m doing stuff I LOVE. I come home ready to be productive or have fun playing games or biking or knitting or whatever I enjoy.
Great quotes! My top 3 favorites (forgive me, I don’t recall who said them):
“Be the change you want to see in the world.”
“Leaders are followers of what is true, what is right, and what is fair.”
“If failure isn’t an option, than neither is success.”
