My Income Increases When I read This Book

There are a few things that are constant in my life and one of them is reading. Every year, I read about a dozen books that I carefully pick or which I recommended to me. Throughout the years, many books have tremendously impacted my life but there are two that I usually go back to: the first is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and the other is How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie (Biography by A&E). In the business world and in the circles of personal development and growth, these two masterpieces are staples. The following is a bold statement but here it is: every time I’ve read these two books, my income has increased.

I was at Target a few days ago, walking through the men’s aisle when I saw a guy I thought I had met before. I went up to him to inquire about our previous encounter. I found out that we had never met. But 15 minutes later, we were friends. I knew more about him that most people these days know about their coworkers. In fact, we agreed to keep in touch and collaborate on future projects.

If you met me 10 years ago, you would’ve easily bet that I would never do such a thing. Go up to random people in public places and start conversations? Never. But here we are, after practicing the skills and mindset I’ve learned from How to Win Friends and Influence People, I have opened for myself countless doors to career opportunities, business opportunities and valuable friendships. How to Win Friends and Influence People, as the title indicates, is not just about building your network. It is also a guide to impacting the life of others in meaningful, long lasting ways.

In this article, I’ve compiled some of the best quotes in How to Win Friends and Influence People and I want to share them with you. This is not a free pass to not read the book. It has impacted me so much that I would beg you to pick it up for yourself.
